DV Language Rule: Plus Sign and Separation

In DV Language, the plus sign (+) is optional.

Separation between time units is defined by a comma (,) or a semicolon (;).

When notes appear in the same position before a comma or semicolon, they are understood to be played simultaneously, even if the plus sign is not written.

Notes can be written:

horizontally (on the same line), or

vertically (stacked)

In both cases, the meaning is the same: the notes are played at the same time.

The plus sign (+) may be added for clarity, but it is not required.
